About our teachers

Christian

Born and raised in Germany, Christian came to Amsterdam in 2002. His yoga journey started in 2008, when he tried out a yoga lesson in his gym. He was immediately hooked. The teacher, Andreas Trussat, became his yoga mentor for the next couple of years, including some beautiful retreats in Vlieland, Ibiza, India and Bali and lots of laughter 🙂

In time, Christian discovered that ashtanga yoga was the practice that suited and inspired him most, and ultimately “moved houses” and became a member at Delight Yoga, practicing Mysore style with Ingrid Notten, Eva Ugolini and Claudia Pradella. It was with Claudia and Eva that he followed the 200 hrs. basic teacher training in 2017, and in 2019 The Path of Ashtanga, a 100 hrs. training to deepen his knowledge and practice, and study students’ adjustments. In 2022 Christian expanded his yoga skills with a 50 hrs. teacher training in vinyasa krama by Fleur van Zonneveld and Moena de Jong.

Since September 2019, Christian is teaching ashtanga yoga and since 2022 vinyasa yoga. He teaches group- and 1-on-1-classes and facilitates workshops and retreats. Christian enjoys sharing what he has learned, and at the same time learning himself from the teaching experience and the interaction with the students. As the founder of ashtanga yoga, Pattabhi Jois, said: Practice, and all is coming!

Mischa

Mischa was a dancer for 20 years, before he became a yoga teacher.
He likes to make his classes playful and challenging; stimulating strength, suppleness and physical awareness, in a way that is not competitive so that each person can work at their own level. For Mischa, yoga is not primarily about improving or changing yourself. It is about befriending your own body and mind, and becoming better acquainted and at peace with yourself.
